Likarda customizes carriers for Advanced Therapies (cells, biologics and genes) that protect the active ingredient after administration and are beneficial in improving outcomes through cryopreservation. Our patented technology allows the use of polymers already approved by the FDA for implantation and adapts them as inactive ingredients for Advanced Therapies. We have worked with Takeda's liver team to encapsulate liver cells and showed that they functioned better in animals in Likarda's carrier compared to the competition or unencapsulated cells.
